Within the rough Meta range. Your CTR of 1% compares with a rough 0.8–1.5% for Meta. CTR is mostly creative and offer: test new hooks and refresh ads as frequency climbs.

Leave any box blank and the metrics that need it show “—”. Use numbers from the same date range and the same campaigns, or the ratios won’t mean much. Spend excludes VAT and agency fees. Presets are rough UAE planning assumptions, not benchmarks. Costs vary a lot by industry, audience, language and season (Ramadan, Q4 and White Friday push prices up). Replace them with your own account data.

What CTR should you expect on each platform?

Search answers a question someone just typed, so it gets clicked far more than a video in a feed. Rough UAE planning ranges for link CTR, not benchmarks:

  • Meta: 0.8–1.5%
  • Google Search: 3–7%
  • TikTok: 0.5–1.2%
  • Snapchat: 0.3–0.8%
  • LinkedIn: 0.4–0.8%

Compare against your own history for the same platform, audience and format first. Retargeting usually beats prospecting, and brand search beats generic search.

How much does a better CTR save you?

On impression-priced platforms every extra click from the same impressions is free, so CTR and CPC move in opposite directions.

Same AED 25 CPM, different CTR
CTRCPCClicks per AED 10,000
0.5%AED 5.002,000
1%AED 2.504,000
1.5%AED 1.676,000
2%AED 1.258,000

How do you improve your CTR?

  • Win the first second. On video platforms the hook decides whether anyone sees the rest. Test several openings for the same ad.
  • Make the offer specific. “Same-day delivery in Dubai” beats “Shop now”. Prices, deadlines and proof points earn clicks.
  • Match the language. Arabic creative for Arabic speakers, not a translated caption.
  • Refresh before fatigue. CTR falls as frequency climbs, so plan new variations before creative fatigue sets in.
  • Write search ads to the query. Put the keyword in the headline and use sitelinks and callouts to take up more space.

Clickbait has a cost

A high CTR with a low conversion rate means the ad promised something the page didn’t deliver. Check conversion rate and CPA before declaring a winner. More in the CTR glossary entry.
